On June 23rd, Quinn had her 2 month check up. Man, is that ever a hard appointment! No one really tells you how you will feel and react when you baby gets her first shots. Now, I know that she had her Vitamin K and first in her Heb B series at the hospital before we left. But they're smart at the hospital...they don't do the shot in front of you. They take her away to the nursery and do the evil work back where you can't see and hear her cry and scream. If you saw that in the first day of her life, you might never take her back to get more shots! I don't know who cried more...me or Quinn! Her screaming and crying and tears were almost too much to handle! And what was worse...I didn't even get to be the one to comfort and sooth her after the appointment. I had to go back to work and be all sad and upset the whole rest of the day because I knew that Gammy (Dan's mom) was the one cuddling her while momma had to abandon her to go back to work. Talk about guilt.
I did however, learn my lesson...for her 4 month shots (yes...I am going to take her back to get more) I planned ahead. I'm making Dan go with me, scheduled it for a Friday and I took the rest of the day off. Now, I'll have the whole week end to make sure that she gets all the cuddles that she needs. And I get to be the one to give her most of them :)
Oh! And her 2 month stats: 11 lbs. 9 oz. and 23 inches long.
