Little beauty queen ♥

This last Saturday, Quinn got her 3 month pictures taken. She is a great job! I think she might have just cried for a bit at the end, but other than that, she was all about getting her picture taken! Rebecca did a great job capturing Quinn and our family. I haven't gotten the whole disk yet with all of the pictures, but here are a few that she sent me. I think we might have a model on our hands!

This is my favorite of Dan and Quinn

You can see how proud Dan is in his face!

Daddy and Quinn ♥

This one is so sweet!

As you can see, the new obsession in our lives :)

Welcome Jack Robert Reuss!!!

On July 17, 2011 at 4:43 am, Quinn's future husband, Jack Reuss, was born! :)

Our very dear friends, Rachel and Nic welcomed their sweet little bundle of cuteness this Sunday and they couldn't be happier or prouder! We love you Reuss family! And we are so happy that we were able to share in your joy and meet the cute little man! Mommy and Jack are both doing very well...and Daddy too, of course!

Quinn was so intrigued with him that she couldn't keep her eyes off of him! Ahhh...love at first sight ♥

I will post pictures soon...but you will be shocked at how much hair  he has! I think Quinn had a little hair envy...or was that momma having it for her???? ;)

Eff Tummy Time!

Last night, Dan and I exchange the following texts while I was on my way home from Target:

Dan: Ur going to be kind of sad.
Mandy: ?
Dan: Quinn said f*** tummy time and rolled over onto her back from flat on the ground

She was shocked to find that she was able to do that, but so proud of herself! And when Dan was giving her her kudos, she just knew that she had done something great and that her daddy was so proud of her, she just smiled and smiled at him.

But, gosh darn it! Stupid Target! Why did I even need to go there?!?!?!!? I missed out on all the fun! We tried to get her to do it again when I got back, but she was too pooped from the first time around.

So, in Dan's words, Quinny said "Eff tummy time!" and did something about it.

Quinn's Newborn session

These pictures are from her newborn session with Brio's. I wish we would have been able to get some better poses with the cute outfits and props that I had, but the studio was so cold that she was not having it. So this is what we got. Of course, she is still adorable, but just not exactly what I was hoping for.

She sure rocks a super cute cowlick on the back of her head! :)

Such tiny feet!

Cute little pirate face!

Captured mid yawn!

I love the look on her face in this one.

Starting to get grumpy...

Full blown cry! Not a happy Quinny...

Maternity Pictures!

So, since Quinny is going to have her 3 month pictures taken this Saturday, I thought that I would post my maternity pictures and in the next post, her newborn pictures. Of course, the Quinny ones are way cuter than mine, but I will still share :)

This one is my favorite of just me
And this one is my favorite of me and Dan.

I sure do miss that belly...

12 weeks old!

Today, Quinny will be 12 weeks old! I really can't believe that it's been that long already. I'm sure that next Monday, there will be a post "3 Months Old!" that also states the same thing...but I'm pretty sure that nobody minds :)

She sure has grown in these last 12 weeks! Here are a few of the things that she has been up to:

  • Smiley Quinny! I'm sure that you can tell from the pictures that I have posted, but Quinn is such a smiley baby! Especially in the morning. You go to her crib and start talking to her, and she just smiles and smiles. It's the best way to wake up! She really loves it when you sing silly songs to her. We make them up when ever we do anything for her. We sing about changing her diapers, taking a bath, changing her clothes, going to see Daddy...pretty much everything.
  • Tummy time! Now, she has pretty much hated tummy time from day one. I would put her on her tummy and she would scream bloody murder until someone came and picked her up. It would take forever to calm her down and have her be happy again. But lately, she has been doing so much better! She still has her fits every now and then, but for the most part, we can get her on her tummy and she will be there happy as a clam for at least 5 minutes. If you ask Gammy Barb, she will say that she still hates it, but she is doing so much better.
  • Rolling over (from back to front)! I think she likes to do things a little backwards: harder things first, and then try the easier things. The other day, she was laying on the floor on her back, just looking at her pretty self in her play mirror. I went to the kitchen to put away a cup, and I come back and she has rolled 99% over on her belly! She doesn't get all the way over on her belly, she still gets stuck with her little arm under her and if she stays like that for too long, she lets you know that she's had enough. But she sure loves to try! Since then, she has been rolling over a lot more! Pretty soon, we are going to have a mobile baby!
  • Talking! She sure has inherited her Momma's love of talking! She will jibber jabber away forever if you let her! You ask her questions and she will answer. It's so sweet to hear her tiny little voice. I can't wait until she can actually talk real words - it's going to be so cute!
  • Giggles! We actually got to hear her first giggles yesterday! We have been waiting and waiting to hear her cute little giggles, and we got her to do it! And she laughed so much that she peed her pants and I had to change her diaper after we were done :) I hope that it becomes a more regular thing because I now live to hear her silly little giggles.
  • Sitting up! No, she doesn't sit up on her own yet, but Quinn now almost always refuses to sit back. She likes to see the world from an upright position. Even at bath time, she will not sit back. She pulls her little head up so she can tell you that she wants to sit up and be a big girl.
There is so much more that she is doing, but those are a few of my favorites. I just can't believe that she is getting to be such a big girl already. Pretty soon I'm going to blink and there, in front of me will be a teenager! Hopefully it won't go by that fast, but we all know that they grow up so quickly and we just have to enjoy them while we have them.

Independence Day! (2011)

Quinn had her first 4th of July on Monday! Granted, we didn't go to the parade because it was a bit too hot for such a tiny little tot and we didn't do the fireworks because she was so wiped out by the end of the day, but I'm sure next year we won't be able to keep her away from all the fun! We had a BBQ at gammy and pappo Wodnick's house. Of course, Quinny was the hit of the party. Everyone just melts every time she smiles or coos or moves or just sits there. Pretty much anything she does, people gush all over her! But, we aren't surprised. She is Quinn.

Quinny supervising momma as I make whoopie pies for the BBQ. Gotta love those ears!
Pretty sure she is thinking "Quit kissing me all the time! I know you love me!"

Little 4th of July cutie!

Blue-eyed "Polasian" baby (for those of you who don't know what a "polasian" is...it's Dan's description of our Polish/Asian baby :)

We took the opportunity to take "four generation" pictures since we had everyone there. It's pretty special to capture these moments while we can. Plus, Quinny sure does love all of her "greats"!
Four generations of Kundes: Great-Grandma Elray, Great-Grandpa Jim, Baby Quinn, Daddy Dan and Gammy Barb

Four generations of Wodnicks: Great-Grandma Jen, Baby Quinn, Daddy Dan and Pappo Paul

2 month check up

On June 23rd, Quinn had her 2 month check up. Man, is that ever a hard appointment! No one really tells you how you will feel and react when you baby gets her first shots. Now, I know that she had her Vitamin K and first in her Heb B series at the hospital before we left. But they're smart at the hospital...they don't do the shot in front of you. They take her away to the nursery and do the evil work back where you can't see and hear her cry and scream. If you saw that in the first day of her life, you might never take her back to get more shots! I don't know who cried more...me or Quinn! Her screaming and crying and tears were almost too much to handle! And what was worse...I didn't even get to be the one to comfort and sooth her after the appointment. I had to go back to work and be all sad and upset the whole rest of the day because I knew that Gammy (Dan's mom) was the one cuddling her while momma had to abandon her to go back to work. Talk about guilt.

I did however, learn my lesson...for her 4 month shots (yes...I am going to take her back to get more) I planned ahead. I'm making Dan go with me, scheduled it for a Friday and I took the rest of the day off. Now, I'll have the whole week end to make sure that she gets all the cuddles that she needs. And I get to be the one to give her most of them :)

Oh! And her 2 month stats: 11 lbs. 9 oz. and 23 inches long.

First 2 1/2 months...

Little Quinny, ready to go home!
First week home...so alert!

Our first Mother's Day. Her little face is peeking out of where her arm should go! Such a tiny little nugget.

Bath time beauty!

All smiles for Momma!

Wubby and Boppy...life is good :)
